Oud Ébène (No.28) is Santal seen after dark, the same warm wood in a deeper register. Green cardamom and smoky rosewood open onto a polished oud, folded into creamy sandalwood and grounded by vetiver, before settling into amber, tonka and vanilla. Ébène is the colour of the scent rather than a wood within it: smooth, low-lit, unhurried.
